TOOTH

Edmontosaurus Teeth:
1. Four fragments of the dental battery of a hadrosaur dinosaur. They were discovered
in the matrix surrounding a bone of an Edmontosaurus annectens. The two center teeth
fragments present their lingual (or buccal) enameled surface which is diamond shaped
with a central longitudinal ridge. The largest specimen, second from left has the root end up
and the flat grinding surface pointing down.
2. The two enameled specimens from photo 1. The left specimen has one complete tooth
which comprises the right half of the specimen. The long central tooth has already had
half of its enamel worn away (q.v. photo 1.). The specimen on the right has the root
broken off.
